DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Enero 29, 2025 —Today, State Senator John I. Kane today announced $455,831 in Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Act 13 grants for four community enhancement projects across Delaware County in the 9th Senatorial District.

The funded projects include:

  • $53,895 to Aston Township for the Aston-Middletown Little League Repaving Project
  • $125,000 to Eddystone Borough for the Eddystone Delaware River Waterfront Park
  • $76,936 to Edgmont Township for the Cisler Tract Master Plan
  • $200,000 to Marcus Hook Borough for the Market Square Memorial Park Pier Planning Project

“I’m thrilled to see these projects getting the support they deserve,” said Senator Kane. “Whether it’s giving our kids a better place to play baseball in Aston, creating new outdoor spaces along the Delaware River in Eddystone and Marcus Hook, or planning the future of the Cisler Tract in Edgmont – each of these projects will make our neighborhoods better places to live. These improvements will give families more ways to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together right here in our community.”

The grants are part of the Marcellus Legacy Fund, established by Act 13 of 2012, which provides for the distribution of unconventional gas well impact fees to support various community and environmental initiatives.
