At the request of Pennsylvania Senator John Kane (D- Chester/Delaware) and state Representative Tina Davis (D- Bucks), the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee will hold a hybrid in person and virtual public hearing to discuss the use of solitary confinement on Pennsylvania prisoners. The hearing will include experts to discuss the psychological impact on inmates and legislative proposals to end the practice of solitary confinement in the commonwealth.
Join Senator Kane, Senator Kearney, and other elected officials to honor the lives we have lost to overdoses. The vigil will take place on August 31 at 7:00 pm at the Delaware County Courthouse at 201 W Front Street, Media, PA. Join us on Thursday, September 30 for an Addiction Resource Fair from 4-6 pm. The event will be held outdoors in a tent – Rain or Shine at 381 Brinton Lake Road in Thornton. Local organizations will provide resources for folks struggling with addiction and information about treatment options. We will also have a Narcan demonstration and distribution on-site.

The staff from our district office will provide information on state government-related programs and services available to Veterans. Enjoy a light lunch, while learning about these invaluable resources.
We’ll also be joined by the Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans’ Van to assist accredited veterans and their family members in connecting with needed benefits such as disability, health care, pension, education, career assistance and more.
