HARRISBURG, PA − October 23, 2024 − Senator John I. Kane today announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has approved $7,159,860 in Local Share Account (LSA) grants for various projects across the 9th Senatorial District. These funds, derived from gaming revenues, will support crucial community development initiatives throughout Delaware and Chester Counties.
“I am thrilled to announce these significant investments in our local communities,” said Senator Kane. “These grants will fund a wide range of projects, from improving public safety to enhancing recreational opportunities and upgrading critical infrastructure. I commend the hard work of all the volunteers, employees, and directors who put together these grant applications. Their dedication will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for residents across our district.”
In addition to the Local Share Account grants, Senate District 9 was also awarded $4.1 million in Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program (PSFIG) funds. The PSFIG program offers crucial support for public school districts and area career and technical schools to enhance their facilities. This funding is open to all school districts and area career and technical schools, offering a valuable resource to address critical infrastructure needs and create better learning environments for our students.
“This vital support will allow our schools to address critical infrastructure needs, creating safer and more conducive learning environments,” said Senator John I.
